Hannah Gearan (she/her) is a news writer for Screen Rant, current AmeriCorps member, and filmmaker. She studied Film, Environmental Studies, and Writing at Wesleyan University. While at Wesleyan, she concentrated her efforts in documentary. Her short film Toxic Faucets has screened at numerous film festivals in New England, including the Independent Film Festival of Boston (IFFBoston).

While Hannah's film & TV interest is wide-ranging, she has long loved James Cameron's Avatar, and now writes frequently about The Way of Water and the upcoming sequels. With her filmmaking background, Hannah is also particularly fascinated with writing about the the technical and industry aspects of film such as VFX related stories, animation, and box office records.

Her favorite directors are Wes Anderson, Kelly Reichardt, and Kogonada. Currently, she excitedly awaits the Tuesday releases of crime podcast The Last Ride.
